I completely forgot to remind new readers of where the King goes at the begining of the game. Oops. Luckily I was able to comandeer this FCBD post. Thanks for your patience.

This year I will be giving away copies of The Chess Comic Sampler I printed up for the occasion. It is two sheets of paper printed double sided and "saddle stapled" (I think it is called). It has most of the first dozen strips and a few out of sequence at the end. I think it turned out pretty well and I hope I get some takers. Gamezilla, my comic shop, has been giving me a table on FCBD for the last couple of years because of my other website comicsintheclassroom.net. I know how to talk to parents, teachers and librarians and I come stocked with a whole lot of younger reader books that the store can order but doesn't carry. I will be giving out copies of the Chess Comic and my grade 3 class' comic; I'll be schmoozing with interested parents and drawing next week's chess comic.
It is a day full of awesome!
Wish me luck.
I will have a new comic up tomorrow.
See you next time.
